Discipline is focused on the following tasks:
– to form a system of knowledge that will allow you to analyze the patterns of behavior and economic decision-making by business entities in accordance with the norms of state and international trade regulation;
– to develop the ability to creatively apply theoretical knowledge in practice in the field of organization and management of foreign economic activity at the level of the organization, region, state, both independently and as part of an integration association.

The purpose of this discipline is to form in students a comprehensive understanding of the essence, trends and features of the policy of the Republic of Belarus in integration associations in the context of global world processes and the priorities of the republic’s foreign policy, to develop and consolidate the skills of independent analysis of the development of the integration policy of the Republic of Belarus.

The main objectives of the academic discipline are:
– study of the essence, stages and features of the foreign policy of the Republic of Belarus in the context of the development of integration processes in the post-Soviet space,
– consideration of the evolution of approaches of the Republic of Belarus to the implementation of models and forms of integration in the post-Soviet space,
– study of the processes of formation, design and functioning integration associations in the post-Soviet space with the participation of the Republic of Belarus,
– identification of the features of the participation of the Republic of Belarus in the formation and development of the Commonwealth of Independent States,
– analysis of the approaches of the Republic of Belarus and the main trends in the development of the Union State,
– study of the main directions of activity of the Republic of Belarus in the Eurasian Economic Union,
– consideration participation of the Republic of Belarus in the Collective Security Treaty Organization

The discipline of design thinking analyzes the conceptual apparatus that is used to explicate the specifics of design thinking and algorithms for its development. It describes the features and formalization of design thinking as a process. The discipline also examines the specifics of design thinking as a process of developing innovations. Design thinking is the extrapolation of traditional design principles to other areas of human endeavor. The design thinking lexicon consists of the terminology of traditional design and the concepts of philosophy and humanities. The concept of creative thinking as non-standard thinking, based on the ability to perceive non-obvious patterns, is also significant for describing design thinking. Creative thinking is associated with the procedure of developing new ways of performing tasks and solving problems. Unlike systematic and critical thinking, creative thinking is the subject of predominantly scientific research.

This course introduces students to basic professional skills they will need to work and communicate effectively in English. Students will explore the job-specific language and standard practices for communicating within and across business sectors in the cross-cultural setting. During the course students will develop workplace telephoning skills, presentation and networking skills, meeting and negotiation skills. They will also learn and practice some of common types of business writing, including business letters and emails, reports, and memos. Students will develop skills in CV and cover letter writing and study the techniques needed for success in job interviews. The course focuses on practical skill acquisition through active participation in classroom discussions, engagement in collaborative exercises and in the completion of written assignments.

The ‘Cross-Cultural Communication Practices’ practical course caters for upgrading students’ English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. The course provides a wide range of exercises aimed at mastering the vocabulary input in context and gaining better communication fluency; a great variety of relevant texts, audios and videos for analyzing and discussing; an array of interactive activities with instant marking as well as a set of achievement tests. The course comprises eight major topics: Mass Media; Education; Variety of Languages; Talent and Genius in Arts; Family Issues; Money; Environmental Issues; Scientific and Technical Progress. The topics for discussion are subject to change depending on students’ choice.

The purpose of the academic discipline is to teach students of non-core specialties the basics of programming. The objectives of the academic discipline are as follows: to provide an introduction to the basic ideas and methods of programming theory; to study branching algorithms, loops, elements of modular programming; to study the Python language tools for implementing simple algorithms; to explore the environment for running and debugging programs in Python; to learn the basics of working with lists, strings, files, arrays, sets, tuples and dictionaries; to introduce students to the basics of object-oriented programming; to explore possibilities of using Python to solve problems in the specialized industry.

Language of Mass Media is a practical course aimed at university students seeking to advance their skills as speakers of English in social settings and in their future careers. The course provides glossaries and useful conversation formulas to operate effectively in various real-life situations; relevant progressive topics to improve English fluency; advanced discursive strategies to communicate effectively in both professional and social situations.
The course is organized into a set of topical units such as economics, finance, ecology, sports, science, arts, etc. Each unit deals with communicative and functional characteristics of journalistic discourse, structural and functional features of constructing media texts.

Critical Reading is a practical course that aims to introduce students to the techniques of reading, analyzing, interpreting and evaluating a literary text. The course in organized into units which set out the key concepts in text analysis and stylistic theory. The course also provides several readings of literary works by British and American writers to give an opportunity to apply what students have learnt.

Academic Writing is a practical course aimed to train students to be able to produce academic texts and to present results of their research in English.
The course pursues the objectives:
1) to develop academic writing skills (studying the structure and language of academic text, writing summaries, abstracts, reviews, articles);
2) to enrich students’ vocabulary with speech patterns typical for communication in the academic sphere;
3) to develop skills of academic discussion and presentation on students’ research project.
The course is divided into four sections which cover the topics 1) academic text design; 2) the essay as a genre; 3) features and standards of academic correspondence; 4) a presentation on the academic project.

In this course, students will learn:
-definition and essence of the concept of “historical and cultural monument”, “historical and cultural heritage”, “historical and cultural value”.
– classification of historical and cultural monuments, their number in Belarus and regional structure.
– Archeological monuments in Belarus.
– The historical heritage of Belarus and its embodiment in historical monuments and places.
– Architectural monuments in Belarus.
– Monuments of fine art of Belarus. Creative heritage of N. Orda, M. Chagall, K. Malevich.

The main goal of the course “Traditional Belarusian Culture, Modern Economy and Law” is to provide foreign students with regional knowledge about Belarus, necessary for their adaptation and successful study in the country.
To achieve this goal, the program provides for solving a number of tasks:
• study of the geopolitical situation and natural potential of the Republic of Belarus;
• study of socio-demographic factors and cultural characteristics of the country;
• consideration of the structural and territorial features of the economic development of Belarus;
• familiarization with the peculiarities of the country’s legal system.
The content of this course is a synthesis of knowledge from a wide range of academic disciplines, including political, physical and socio-economic geography, history, cultural studies, economics and law of Belarus.

Discipline aims to help students shape better understanding of major stages of social development and within this context to form basic yet comprehensive idea of what is law, which role it plays in modern societies across the globe. The course combines opportunities of improving competences in such domains as Law, Social Science, Politics, International Relations, Cultural Studies, Economics with space to develop team-working experience, train oneself in various research activities.
Objectives of the course include development students’ understanding of the essence of law in the range of other social institutions; formation of basic legal competencies for their application in everyday, professional, research activities ragrdless of their major.

The course is aimed to equip students with comprehensive knowledge about privacy and personal data, the main legal means of their protection.
Course objectives include:
– to form students’ understanding of what privacy is, the essence and content of personal data as a comprehensive interdisciplinary phenomenon;
– identify and show trends in the development of legal regulation of public relations in the field of privacy protection, accumulation, circulation and use of personal data;
– to form students’ understanding of the constituent elements of the legal regime of personal data
– introduce available legal means of personal data protection in different countries and at international level;
– teach to find, analyze and apply norms, based on scientific knowledge, corresponding to the sphere of professional activity and the tasks to be solved.

The course is aimed at mastering basic techniques of preparing to, running, participating in and evaluating debate in British parliamentary format.
Parliamentary debate is a form of organized discussion of a given problem within a set of formal rules. Students will learn how to make problem-oriented research, to structure their ideas and thoughts, how to use basic and advanced methods of persuasion, act in stressful conditions, develop and deliver argumentation. Overall objective of the discipline is to develop students’ abilities in domains of critical thinking, adaptive thinking and communication. Trainings within the course will involve a lot of team-working experience.

The course is designed to help students develop a set of competencies allowing to increase the efficiency of their professional activities in the chosen field through application project management skills.
Tasks of the discipline are development of organizational and management skills in a competitive dynamic international environment; formation of competencies for the development and implementation of projects (primarily – educational and research); equipping with knowledge and practical skills of effective communication for the modern labour market.
Upon successful completion of the study of the course, students will know the main elements of the project management methodology, be able to analyze problems, build a tree of needs, classify projects and determine the life cycle of their implementation, develop a project budget, they will also master the abilities of effective communication organization, negotiation, and teamwork organization skills.

The discipline is aimed at the formation of a set of competencies in students that will allow to increase the efficiency of professional activity in terms ability to study and apply information and communication technologies in the conditions of social transformations and intercultural diversity.
Objectives of the course include:
– formation of theoretical knowledge and actualization of practical tools for studying directions and social, economic and political consequences of the implementation of various information and communication technologies in various spheres of life;
– development of skills in application of different information and communication technologies to solve professional tasks;
– development of the ability to search, gather, verify and study information on various aspects of social development, to conduct critical assessment and analysis of information;
– improvement of communication competence in writing and speaking on information and communication technologies.

This discipline is dedicated to analyze role of cognitions in our functioning. Cognition includes basic mental processes such as sensation, attention, and perception and also complex mental operations such as memory, learning, language use, problem solving, decision making, reasoning, and intelligence. Modern cognitive psychology provides tools that help person to optimize our abilities to operate with different kinds of information and thereby expand the capabilities of psychic.
It also help to understand the role and influence of emotions on mental activity and to control cognitive biases, that appears as a result of subjective meaning of general and social information.
Discipline “Psychology of mental processing” contains a set of theoretical and applied tasks that helps students to understand specific of their mental organization and realize a practice of mental development of using mental processing in variety of contexts.
